How often does my client need a fill, and what does 7 to 8 weeks retention mean?Updated 5 months ago
Typically, clients need a fill every 2-4 weeks depending on their natural lashes growth and shedding cycle. Retention means that an adhesive can bond to the lash given the natural lash does not grow out or shed in that time. Any lashes that don’t shed naturally during that 7 to 8 week timeframe, should still be bonded to the natural lash, assuming proper aftercare has been used. When lashes are isolated and applied properly, you may naturally lose up to 50% of the lashes within 2 to 4 weeks. This is when your client will need a fill, they should still have approximately 50% of their lash extensions still on.
