Can I store the glue in a fridge once it is opened?Updated 2 years ago

If the mini fridge/wine cooler is set to a stable temperature between 68-74F then yes - otherwise no. Be sure to still store the adhesive in an airtight container like our Adhesive Holder before storing in the mini fridge. Storing the adhesive in a regular fridge/freezer will cause condensation in the bottle which will prematurely cure the adhesive from within. If the room is at room temperature all day long, then storing the glue in an airtight container in a dark cool area is perfect.

Store glue in the glue container with silica beads or in the foil pouch it came with silica beads, standing upright best in the closet far away from the source of water. The maximum temperature for glue to be stable is 45 Celsius which is Fahrenheit around 110 degrees. Anything over that temperature will destroy the glue. Please keep in mind that fast drying glues have shorter shelf live especially when you use them everyday due to curing ingredients evaporates when open and glue is not curing properly. That is why you also need new dot more often. If it is humid then new glue drops will be dispenses more frequently.

Here are a list of my recommendations for working with and storing adhesive

  1. If unopened you can store in the dark cool area or wine fridge (not regular fridge or freezer) for 4-6 months
  2. If opened it does have a shelf life of 4-6 weeks
  3. You can keep silica in the same area of the glue so it can absorb moisture
  4. Clean your nozzle with a lint free wipe
  5. Always shake your glue upright before use
  6. Air flow such as a fan or AC can help the life but keep in mind everything needs a balance
  7. Purchase a hygrometer - this will show you exact temperature and humidity level in your lash room
  8. Keep away from direct light and lash lamps and keep it in a cool dark place
